2 portraits :

 1/125 sec at f / 22, ISO 1600

Answer : When the DOF is Shallow, it change the image by creating an effect of depth in the background. It makes the background look farther and it make the portrait look more clear. When you take a portrait with a deep DOF it makes the background look closer because it's all in focus and it make the portrait look less clear.

3 still life :

 1/250 sec at f / 1.8, ISO 400

 1/800 sec at f / 10, ISO 1600

1/160 sec at f / 22, ISO 1600

Answer : My first still life shot represent candy and we can see that the background is really blurry. The fact that there's a lot of blurry in the background gives us the information that the DOF is shallow. My second still life shot represent "tag" on box near to the metro. We can see that the background is blurry but not to much. The fact that there's not a lot of blurry in background gives us the information that the picture have a medium DOF. My third still life shot represent a bike near to Dawson entrance. We can see that the background is not blurry. The fact that there's no blurry in the background gives us the information that the picture have a deep DOF. With the three still life picture that I got we can see that each of them gives a different feeling and reading. More the DOF is deep less the still life object is in focus compare to the other element of the photo. More the DOF is shallow more the still life object get in focus compare to the other element of the photo. I feel that the more effective image of the three I've take is the one with a shallow DOF because I feel that we get more the difference between what I want to shoot and the other element of the photo.
